Robert Shock

After completing his masters at Harding University in 1979, Robert moved to The Woodlands, Texas, along with his wife Kaye and pursued a career in teaching and coaching at McCullough High School. In 1989, he left education and started his financial career as an independent representative providing life insurance through Franklin Life and then AIG to individuals and company employees. Now more than twenty-five years later, he has increased his skills to include retirement and estate planning, investment management, long-term care planning, and college funding.  One of Robert’s areas of expertise is working with educators and staff who are retiring through the Teacher Retirement Services of Texas or TRS.  He currently holds his license in the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arizona. In 2008, he joined United Planners Financial Services as a Registered Representative offering securities.

In his leisure time, he mentors a group of single, young professionals at Woodland Oaks Church of Christ.  Bible study and a multitude of activities keep them busy. Fall Friday nights usually finds him on the internet acting as the color commentator for the Oak Ridge High School football team. He also enjoys golf and swimming.
